Often I am asked why I participate in Crossfit. Unless you’ve tried it … long enough to feel the results … it can be difficult to explain. Sometimes I opt out for the easy answer and just tell them I am crazy. Obviously, being pregnant I am in no shape to be working on any PRs but lucky for me, everyone is also encourage to bring their favorite Paleo dish and share recipes. 2012 Crossfit Games Giveaway
A few nights ago I attended a Twitter Party (yes, an online party hosted on Twitter) hosted by @FitFluential and sponsored by one of the 2012 Crossfit Games sponsors, @GNCLiveWell. GNC graciously decided they were going to give away four sets of tickets to the Crossfit Games to the first person who answered one of four trivia questions first and correctly. I happen to be one of those lucky winners who quick enough on her feet.
First Trimester Woes

pe, I’m not talking about my first three months doing Crossfit. I’m talking about doing Crossfit during the first three months of my pregnancy. Yup, I’m doing it, but I almost had to give it up. I said “almost” because after taking a break for a while, I just didn’t feel energized and I was beginning to get out of shape. I’d be danged if that would continue. I’d worked too hard, and I missed those extra endorphins that come out after a nice bout of exercise.
Bison – It’s What’s For Dinner.
Hubby and I got frisky last night. No, not that kind of frisky… we decided to really treat ourselves to a romantic and absurdly delicious meal. We went out and picked up two half-pound, rib-eye steaks – not beef, but bison. Maybe you’ve tried bison and are thinking, “Yuck”. No surprise there! The grain-fed variety just doesn’t taste like meat. Besides, grass-fed is amazingly healthy. When compared to grain-fed it is:
